The easiest way to install VisBio is to use a prebundled version.

However, VisBio will run on any system that supports the Java 2 Platform, and it will run in full 3D mode on any system with an implementation of Java3D, by following these instructions.

You can upgrade to the latest development version of VisBio by saving the following JAR file over top the old one in your VisBio directory. Make sure you have the latest available version of VisBio installed before doing so, or else things might not work.

If you are using Mac OS X, you will need to option-click the VisBio icon and choose "Show package contents" from the menu, then navigate into Contents, Resources, Java to find the JAR files.
